Happy Birthday to Our Founder!
When asked by family, friends, and clients how would they describe Michelle, they had this to say:
"Very caring. She truly looks out for others and is concerned about their well-being."
"Hard working, a go getter! She overcomes obstacles that others would have just walked away from. She's always looking for solutions to problems and solving them."
"She looks incredible for her age!" I hope I age like her!"
"She's extremely creative, a talented singer and songwriter, a genuinely nice person and always thinking of ways to elevate."
We received so many well wishes for her and so many amazing and positive comments, we couldn't list them all.
She is a woman who is the epitome of Grace and Steel! Grace carried her. And steel definitely forged her. She understands loss, grief, betrayal and people who have misunderstood and judged her simply for who she is.
She remains unapologetically true to herself and her faith in Jesus Christ.
She cannot and will not allow herself to be labeled, categorized or neatly set into someone's rigid standards of what a woman should be.
She defies AGE! Where most people would see another birthday as getting older, she seems to be aging backwards.
And believes that people should stop judging others based on age. She's so young at heart and so full of energy, vitality and life that no one would dare to box her into an age group simply based on a number.
In her own words she said, "I think sometimes people confuse age with vitality. Some people feel vibrant and engaged later in life, while others feel old very young. That's why I don't reduce compatibility to numbers alone."
"Age alone doesn't determine someone's maturity, value, compatibility or how meaningful a relationship can be. We see women like Cher and Madonna defying age and dating men decades younger than themselves while being completely unapologetic about it!"
"Men do it all the time and they are admired and envied for it. If a woman does it, sometimes the opposite can be true. But one thing is for sure, you have younger people who don't age well and older people who age incredibly well."
So let people be and if they happen to look amazing for their age and no one would look at them sideways saying why is she dating someone that could be her son's age (if she had one) when they can't tell the difference, or look at him and say, "why is he dating someone who LOOKS old enough to be his mother, when she doesn't, who cares!
Having worked in Medicare for years with clients in their twenties to well into their eighties and beyond, she has a different perspective on age when she has seen clients in their twenties and thirties pass away from chronic diseases and people blessed to be alive in their eighties, thriving, healthy and of sound mind.
In closing, she said, "I've never related strongly to ideas about what a woman is supposed to be at a certain age anyway. And don't conform to what society deems appropriate when so much of the abnormal (what would be considered a sin in the bible), has now become normal I've always had a younger spirit and a more unconventional outlook on life."
"And, I think people would be a lot happier if they stopped judging others and truly started living!"
When Jewelry Becomes More Than Just Fast Fashion
Some women don't buy jewelry to impress anyone. They but it to remember who they survived becoming.
Some jewelry is chosen for an outfit. Some is chosen for attention. And then there are the pieces a woman wears because they remind her of who she is after life changed her.
At Grace & Steel, our most loved bracelets were never intended to be just accessories. They became quiet reminders of resilience, faith, healing, femininity, and becoming.
The women drawn to our leather insert bracelets and chain link word bracelets are often women who have lived through something.
Loss. Heartbreak. Reinvention. Disappointment. Survival. The kind of seasons that reshape a woman from the inside out.
Many of them are rebuilding quietly. And that is exactly why these pieces resonate so deeply.
A bracelet engraved with a word like Becoming, Unbreakable, Discernment or Second Act is more than style. It becomes personal. A reflection of identity. A reminder of strength. A marker of how far a woman has come, even if no one else fully sees the journey she survived.
At the heart of Grace & Steel is faith.
Not perfection. Not pretending life has been easy. But the belief that grace can meet a woman in broken places and still build something beautiful from them.
We believe strength and softness can exist together. That femininity is not weakness. And that even after difficult seasons, a woman can rise refined rather than hardened.
That belief shaped this brand from the beginning.
Our leather insert bracelets become favorites because they feel grounded, timeless, and deeply personal - pieces women wear daily as part of their story. The chain link word bracelets quickly became customer favorites for another reason; the words speak when women sometimes cannot.
They remind her:
~Who she is becoming
~What she survived
~What she refuses to return to
~and the grace that carried her through it all
Jewelry has always been emotional. Passed down through generations. Given during milestones. Worn during seasons we never forget.
But in a world full of fast trends and disposable fashion, women are craving pieces with meaning again.
Pieces that say something.
Pieces that feel like strength wrapped in beauty.
At Grace & Steel, we don't just believe jewelry should complete an outfit. We believe it can reflect a woman's story, her faith, her healing and the quiet power she carries into her next chapter.
Because some women don't wear bracelets to impress anyone. They wear them to remember who they survived becoming.
Gold Reimagined: The Modern Woman's Guide to Lasting Luxury
Gold has always been more than an accessory. It's a statement of identity, legacy, and personal style. But in today's world of modern jewelry design, not all gold is exactly what it seems.
If you've ever wondered about the difference between real gold and 18K gold PVD, you're not alone. Understanding what you're wearing isn't just about value - it's about intention.
What is Real Gold?
Real gold refers to jewelry made from solid gold alloys - commonly 10K, 14K, or 18K gold. The "K" stands for karat, indicating how much pure gold is present in the piece.
18K gold contains 75% pure gold
14K gold contains 58.5% pure gold
10K gold contains 41.7% pure gold
Because pure gold is naturally soft, it's blended with other metals to create strength and durability.
Why women choose real gold:
It lasts a lifetime - and often generations
It won't tarnish or fade over time
It holds intrinsic value
Real gold is less about trends and more about permanence. It's the piece you keep, not just the piece you wear.
What is 18K Gold PVD?
PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition, a modern process where a thin layer of gold is bonded onto a base metal (like stainless steel) using advanced technology.
Unlike traditional gold plating, 18K gold PVD is more durable, more resistant to wear, and designed for everyday life.
Why women love gold PVD:
More affordable than solid gold
Resistant to tarnishing and fading
Lightweight and ideal for layering
Perfect for trend-forward, statement pieces
If gives you the look of gold - with flexibility to evolve your style without overcommitting.
The Key Differences
Real gold is forever. It becomes part of your story.
Gold PVD is for now - and next. It moves with your style.
Investment vs. Expression
Real gold holds financial and sentimental value
PVD allows you to experiment, stack and make bold choices
Weight & Feel
Real gold has a heavier, classic feel
PVD pieces are lighter and effortless
So, which one should you choose?
The truth is - its not about choosing one over the other.
The modern woman wears both.
She invests in real gold for the moments that matter...
and reaches for gold PVD when she wants to express who she is right now.
The Grace & Steel Perspective
At Grace & Steel, we believe jewelry should meet you where you are - whether you're building your forever collection or stepping into a new version of yourself.
Some pieces are meant to last a lifetime. Others are meant to mark a moment.
Both are powerful.
Because what you wear should reflect not just your style - but your story.
The Boldness Edit
Boldness isn't loud.
It isn't excessive.
And it doesn't need permission.
At Grace & Steel, boldness is found in the details - the pieces that shift an entire look without overpowering it. A cuff that catches the light just enough. A chain that adds presence without effort. A piece that feels intentional the moment it's worn.
This is not about wearing more.
It's about wearing something that speaks.
The Boldness Edit is a curation of pieces designed - and selected for that exact reason. Jewelry that holds its own. Jewelry that doesn't compete, but completes.
Because boldness isn't about being seen.
It's about being remembered.
